Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. £29.99 monthly membership

Membership costs £29.99 per month and renews monthly until cancelled. It reveals full profiles behind pending incoming Meet requests, permits acceptance, reveals eligible event-result identities and includes admission to Social Muslims-run online and in-person events subject to eligibility, reservation, capacity, waitlists and event rules.

Eligible profile browsing, Pass, Block, Report and outgoing Meet requests are free. Payment never sends or accepts a request, reserves an event place, creates mutual interest, books a call or guarantees a response, meeting, match, relationship or marriage.

Cancel future renewals: use the account membership controls. PayPal subscriptions may also be cancelled in PayPal under Settings, Payments, Automatic Payments. Apple subscriptions must be managed in Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation normally leaves access active until the end of the paid period.

2. Fourteen-day cancellation right

You normally have 14 days from the day the membership contract begins to tell us you wish to cancel. If you have not asked us to start the service during that period, we refund the amount paid.

If you separately ask us to start immediately, supply may begin at once. If you cancel during the 14 days after supply begins, we may retain or charge only a lawful proportionate amount for the service actually supplied up to cancellation. For a £29.99 monthly membership this will usually be calculated by elapsed access and any service already consumed; it is not an automatic fixed penalty. The cancellation right is lost only if the service is fully performed after an express request and acknowledgement where the law permits.

3. Apple and PayPal refunds

PayPal cancellation stops renewal but does not itself submit a refund request; contact us with the transaction reference. Apple controls billing and refund decisions for App Store purchases, so use Apple's subscription and refund tools. We will supply relevant service and consent evidence where needed without limiting your statutory rights.

4. Events

Member admission to Social Muslims-run events is part of active membership, but reservation and capacity rules still apply. Some events may also be offered free to approved users. No refund is due merely because an event is full, waitlisted, provides fewer rounds than hoped, or produces no mutual interest, provided the paid membership service remains available as described.

If we cancel a separately charged event or fail to provide an expressly purchased add-on, the date-specific checkout terms and mandatory consumer remedies apply. Third-party events are not included unless expressly stated.

5. Private Matchmaker Introductions

The separate £999 Private Matchmaker Introductions package is paid once for three months and does not renew. The scope and start date are confirmed before payment. The same 14-day rules apply: if you expressly ask personal matchmaker work to start immediately, a cancellation during that period may be reduced only by a lawful proportionate amount for work already supplied.

6. Historical purchases

The retired £19.99 native Intro product is unavailable for new purchase. Existing purchasers retain valid acquired and restoration rights. Historic £149, lifetime, legacy subscription and other fixed-term rights remain governed by the evidence and terms accepted at purchase. Existing members keep any stronger benefit promised for their current paid period.

7. Faulty, misdescribed or missing service

Nothing in this policy removes remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory law. Contact us if a paid service was not supplied with reasonable care and skill, was materially misdescribed, duplicated, charged after valid cancellation or not supplied. We may ask for account and provider references so we can investigate.

8. How to cancel or request a refund

Use the in-account cancellation control or email socialmuslims02@gmail.com. Include the account email/phone, product, purchase date, provider and transaction reference. We acknowledge cancellations in writing. Cancellation, data-rights and safety routes remain available even if updated matchmaking consent has not been accepted.
